刘小莽,男,博士,中国科学院地理科学与资源研究所研究员,博士生导师,水文研究室主任,获国家"优秀青年"基金,入选中科院"青年创新促进范根宽冲长选义会"和中科院地理资源所"秉维"优秀人才计划。主要从事水文过程对全球变化响应的区域规律研究,在WRR、GRL、JGR和JH等期刊发表学术论文80余篇。咨询报告被国家领导人、中办和国办批示采纳。先后主持了国家自然科学面上基金、重点基金课题、中科院先导项目专题、欧盟国际合作项目、水利部公益性项目而培答之呼景象征、国家重点研发计划项目专题等20多个项目和课题;担任中国两答单脸零地理学会水文地理专业委员会秘书长。
